Magda, Francesco Farfa and Melanie Havens on the same announcement would already be a reason to pay attention. But Mixórdia’s third anniversary with Trommel deserves a look at the entire programme: 19 announced projects, two live acts, back-to-back sets and artists from different cities and circuits. The party takes place on November 14, 2026, at Fabriketa in São Paulo, from 4pm until 8am the following day.

The format allows the event to begin in daylight and continue through the night. This 16-hour window matters: it leaves room for shifts in atmosphere, less obvious selections and different ways of guiding a dancefloor. Set times and running order were not provided in the announcement consulted.

The partnership has a history. In its announcement, Mixórdia recalls hosting Trommel’s first visit to Brazil two years earlier. The anniversary renews that connection with artists associated with moments in the party’s history, friends, new guests and new formats.

A celebration looking beyond the city

The organisers emphasise the arrival of artists from other parts of Brazil and Latin America. That choice matters in São Paulo, a city that concentrates so much musical circulation: a programme gains depth when it welcomes selections and experiences developed elsewhere.

This is the perspective behind NIGHT ISSUE’s coverage. The international guests help convey the edition’s scale, while the collectives, labels, curators and producers elsewhere in the lineup are also central to the story. Together, they connect different approaches to music research, party organisation and community building.

Fabriketa receives particular attention in the announcement. Mixórdia describes it as a long-desired venue tied to the shared memories of São Paulo’s electronic music audience. This edition is scheduled to occupy it from the afternoon until the next morning.

Three highlights, three approaches to selection

Magda

Born in Poland and raised in Detroit, Magda developed within the city’s underground. In 1998 she joined Minus and began opening Richie Hawtin’s international shows before forging her own path. Her booking biography emphasises unexpected track combinations — a useful starting point for understanding her place in this programme.

Francesco Farfa

The Italian began working professionally in Tuscany in 1985 and launched his international career in 1991, connecting with Paris’s rave scene. His history crosses European progressive and techno. Since 2017 he has collaborated with Florence’s Tenax, and he is involved in the Musek label project.

Melanie Havens

Originally from São Paulo and based in Berlin, Melanie moves through wave, Italo disco, EBM, electroclash and related sounds. She works as a writer, curator and resident with The Brvtalist and founded Klaash!, dedicated to electroclash and neighbouring styles. Her work links selection, editorial practice and creating spaces for this music.

The strength of the lineup lies in the whole

Tati Pimont b2b Hollanda

Live acts, shared booths and audiovisual work

Pi and PR.A.DO are announced as live acts. The format introduces a different possibility from selecting recordings, bringing the live presentation of musical work into focus. The announcement does not specify equipment or performance configurations, so these remain to be discovered.

Edu & She, Sphynx — Vermelho with Zopelar — and Tati Pimont with Hollanda add another dimension through back-to-back sets. Sharing a booth places two musical approaches in conversation, with choices and responses made during the encounter. The interest is in how those relationships emerge through the selections.

The programme also includes Serendipity, a short film by Camila Padilha, who created the edition’s artwork. The official material’s blue, yellow and pink give the anniversary its own visual identity; the film brings that presence beyond the party’s publicity.

An anniversary as a portrait of the party

Our editorial reading is of an edition connecting international references with relationships built by Mixórdia itself. The most interesting question goes beyond who tops the poster: it concerns what happens when these approaches share a venue and an extended programme.

There are different reasons to arrive early, hear a live act, follow a duo or wait for a particular artist. The edition’s scope lies in this variety. It brings dancefloor histories, active projects and possible encounters that audiences will discover at Fabriketa.
