Original reporting and sources
Material claims must have identifiable sources, preferably primary ones where possible. NIGHT ISSUE does not reproduce third-party articles, press releases, biographies or reviews in full. Our editors write original copy, distinguish fact from interpretation and link to the underlying sources.
When external reporting is needed to provide context, we identify it as a secondary source. Work titles, stage names and trademarks appear for reference only.
Images
Third-party photographs are included only with a documented open license, public-domain status or verifiable editorial permission. Each use identifies the creator, license and link to the work. The original file is preserved; CSS may adjust its framing in the layout.
Cover images for new stories are original abstract NIGHT ISSUE compositions, made with AI assistance and finished in separate desktop and mobile versions. They contain no text, brands or people and are labelled editorial artwork, with no claim to document a real scene.
A contextual photograph that does not depict the artist carries an explicit notice. We do not use images found through search engines without a verifiable license.
Events and updates
Dates are checked against official artist, club, festival or promoter pages. Events can still change: our coverage points readers to the organiser and does not guarantee that an event will take place.
Advertising, opinion and endorsement
Opinion must be distinguished from news. Sponsored material must be clearly labelled. Publishing a profile, review or news story does not imply an affiliation, partnership or endorsement by any artist mentioned.
