Growth is not enough

The project's mission begins with a real tension: dance music has grown, but commercial success and visibility do not by themselves preserve respect, tolerance, community or art. Those values need structures that can outlast hype cycles, market pressures and changes to city life.

S.O.S. does not offer a single cure. It brings different perspectives into the same room, records the discussions and keeps them accessible. Informal backstage knowledge becomes a public resource for people who organize events, run venues or work with artists.

Business is culture too

Booking, contracts, ticketing, safety, accessibility and working conditions shape what happens on the dancefloor. Treating governance as separate from the music therefore gives an incomplete picture of the underground.

This is a Business story precisely because operations and cultural responsibility meet here. Sustaining a scene is not simply a matter of selling more tickets; it means deciding which practices, relationships and spaces can continue to exist.
